TAMI ON HIP TV WITH DIAMOND

Diamond caught up with Tami at Hip Hop world to find out where she had been all this time. Tami who was in Lagos promoting her new single and video confessed that she was happy to be back home – missing the hustle and bustle of Lagos . The girl talk turned from an interview into a gossip session – as the two women started talking about things other than music.  Tami gave an ad-lib performance though, giving fans something to look forward to when her album comes out next year.

 My single ‘Make You Dance’ is a feel good party track” – Tami explains. “You know when you have had a long week and you just want to go out and have fun. That’s the kind of song you would dance to if you were in the club. We were in the studio when I heard the beat produced by Ehi Etomi and I wanted to just lay my vocals on it. I have never tried singing up tempo stuff like this before, but I was pleased with the way it came out and immediately started making plans to shoot a video.”

 The video was shot in London and produced by Skillz aka JJC of the 419 squad. Shooting over three days at various locations, the video features a graffiti scene as well as a bar scene at the once famous ESTABLISHMENT night club. The single is available on iTunes and is released as part of BABA’s album DOWN 4 WHATEVA.
